I always look forward to Erdem for the unique patterns and prints. For Fall 2010 the runway packed full of them, from colourful abstract designs to a winsome print of soaring sparrows. But that’s not to understate the use of texture as well - with lace, embroidery and what looks to be raw-edged silk thrown into the mix.

For Autumn / Fall 2010, Juien Macdonald sent some of the most intricate, most delicate sheers down the runway that we’ve seen in a long time. Strongly lingerie inspired - at times even with exposed underwires - their lace sleeves won’t do much to keep you warm in Winter; but then again, who really cares?

The Herve Leger by Max Azria label has become so well-known for its ubiquitous, figure shaping, and often scant bandage dresses that sometimes it’s hard to envisage where it could possibly go. For Fall 2010 Lubov and Max brought some new sporty takes to the runway, with lace-up detailing and some scuba inspired pants and jackets.
They also managed to do something else quite spectacular: they took the tight, short, sexy bandage dress and somehow made it feel demure.

For the first time ever, Fashion Exposed is adding Plus Sizes to the runway mix at the 2010 Fair in Sydney. Headlining it all is none other than Natalie Wakeling’s Embody Denim range, which we featured just recently; a label that aims to bring flattering and fashionable denim to women of all sizes. Eveden Lingerie, Kita Ku, and Curvalicious Womenswear will also hit the plus size runway this month for the Fashion Exposed fair.
